Our neighbor to the west, Alabama sends us artists each year, and we love welcoming them to be part of the Atlanta Dogwood Festival Artist Market. A state with the world’s largest office chair, an all-water mail route, and a law against bear wrestling, it’s no wonder creativity flourishes in sweet home Alabama. The Atlanta Dogwood Festival Artist Market welcomes fine artists from our home state of Georgia every year. Although we would like to claim that the dogwood is our state tree, it’s actually the southern live oak. This tree is at its most recognizable when it’s in a place like Savannah and dripping with moss. We’re thrilled by Southern sights like the live oak, and we love the ways they may appear in the works from our many Georgia artists. Here are some Georgia artists that were participating in April. Many of these artists will be at the festival in August: Jake Asuit, Susan Clayton, Paul Freundt Art Furniture, Chris Hobe Artrevolts, Robert Jr. Studios, Osibisa Fine Art By William Kwamena-Poh, Amy Lansburg, Don McWhorter, Barbara Odil, Elaine Rader Jewelry, Kendra Runnels and Greg Turco. ...
